The Herd exists to call men into the hard, honest pursuit of biblical masculinity, becoming who God made them to be.

THE STORY SO FAR
The Vision Begins
Jim Burgen and a small core group start exploring what biblical brotherhood for modern men should look like.
First Cohort Forms
The first Herd cohort comes together in Colorado, built around weekly accountability and honest conversation.
Herd 90 + First RMMS
Herd 90 is created as the foundational 90-day discipline framework. That same year, the first Rocky Mountain Men's Summit launches.
300 Active Members
The brotherhood crosses 300 active members across the network, with cohorts steadily forming in new cities.
Platform Rebuild Launches
The new Herd platform launches, replacing the legacy Cause Machine system and unifying the member experience.
1,000 Cohorts Nationwide
Our vision: 1,000 active cohorts across the country, with long-term global expansion through partners already engaged in Serbia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Egypt via Flatirons Church relationships.

Lead others with intention. Pour into the next generation of men through mentorship, example, and everyday acts of service.
Guard
Protect your heart, mind, and household. Establish boundaries against sin, temptation, and passivity while taking responsibility for the spiritual and emotional safety of those entrusted to you.
Provide
Embrace your role as a faithful steward of resources. Work diligently, manage money wisely, and ensure those under your care have what they need to flourish, not just survive.
Serve
Lead through humility, putting others before yourself. Model Christlike servanthood in your home, church, work, and community instead of grasping for status or control.
Honor
Walk in integrity, truth, and sexual purity. Honor God with your body, your words, your commitments, and the way you treat women, children, authority, and brothers.
Endure
Develop resilience in suffering and spiritual warfare. Stand firm under pressure, persevere through trials, and refuse to quit on your calling, your family, or your faith.
Legacy
Live and lead with the next generation in view. Intentionally disciple your children and spiritual sons, build traditions, and leave behind a pattern of life that points people to Christ long after you're gone.
